NYBC has continued collecting blood throughout the pandemic as the need for blood certainly has not stopped during these trying times. NYBC is implementing modifications to our collections to provide a controlled and safe environment to our staff and donors.

Toddler Storytime

For children ages 2-4 years with adult caregiver. Join Miss Terri for simple stories, songs and fingerplays in the children's program room where participants can safely social distance. Masks will be required for everyone age 2 and above. Registration is required (parents/caregivers do not need to register). Space is limited to the first 6 participants. Note: There are two sessions each Thursday - one at 9:15 a.m. and one at 10:00 a.m. Please only register for one.

A group of women take on Fox News head Roger Ailes and the toxic atmosphere he presided over at the network. Starring Charlize Theron, Nicole Kidman & Margot Robbie.  (108 min) (2019) 

Statue of Liberty via Zoom

Hendrick Hudson Free Library 185 Kings Ferry Road, Montrose, New York

Kevin Woyce, lecturer, photographer, and author, will explain how the Statue of Liberty was built and what she symbolizes.  Kevin will introduce some of the people involved in her creation, including sculptor Frederic Bartholdi, engineer Gustave Eiffel, architect Richard Morris Hunt, and newspaper publisher Joseph Pulitzer.  Kevin will conclude with brief histories of Ellis Island and Liberty State Park.  Kevin's original photographs of the Statue of Liberty, Ellis Island, Liberty State Park, and New York City, plus vintage images of historic people, places, and events, will be included in the presentation.  Registration begins October 22.  Contact cmorreale@wlsmail.org to register and receive the Zoom invitation.  

Music ‘N’ Motion

Lori Cohen provides a developmental music program. Class geared for children under 5 years who are walking. All children participate with an adult caregiver. Program will be held in the library's community room where participants can safely social distance. Masks will be required for everyone age 2 and above. Registration is required (parents/caregivers do not need to register). Space is limited to the first 10 participants.
