Singer-songwriter Caroline Doctorow has been called a great champion of American folk music.

For her performance, Ms. Doctorow concentrates on the folk music of the early ’60s, presenting the work of important American songwriters and performers such as Bob Dylan, Joan Baez, Tom Paxton, Donovan, Richard and Mimi Fariña, Pete Seeger, and others.

She also performs her original compositions and discusses the songwriting process and describes what it was like growing up with her late father, world-renowned author E.L. Doctorow.

This program-through-song offers the listener a unique perspective of this significant period in our country’s musical history. It’s music that audience members of all ages will enjoy and remember.
