ReadSquared has an app for both iPhone users and Android users

Paper registration and reading logs are available in the library’s Children’s Room also.

Register here beginning June 24th! After June 24th, you can track the number of books/minutes you and/or your kids read by logging into the ReadSquared.

Using ReadSquared:

Login to the website or app and following the directions to log your reading.

Using paper logs:

Stop by the library to pick up a paper reading log. Grades K-8 put (1) sticker for every 20 minutes read on their reading log. Pre-schoolers put (1) sticker for every 5 books read on their reading log.

To finish the program and get your prize, you need:

  • Pre-K: 25 books
  • Grades K-8: 1,000 minutes of reading

Use the website or the app! Paper logs are available at the library also. Visit the Children’s Room to pick yours up.

Anything and everything! Fiction, nonfiction, graphic novels, audiobooks, anything you like in any format. Want to try something new? See one of our Children’s librarians for a recommendation! ReadSquared also offers book recommendations that will link directly to our online catalog.

Wait for an email from Miss Terri. (ReadSquared notifies her automatically) She will let you know when your prize is ready for pick-up.

If you are not using ReadSquared, please bring your completed log to the Children’s Reference Desk.

Each participant to reach their goal gets a prize!

Pre-K will receive a token prize + a book

Grades K-3 will receive a token prize + a book + entry into our grand prize raffle

Grades 4-8 will receive a book + entry into our grand prize raffle

Those who reach their goal a second time, and any extras thereafter, receive an additional book + additional entry into the grand prize raffle!

Grand Prize winners receive:

Grades K-3: a $200 gift card to Spins Hudson

Grades 4-8: Apple AirPods OR a $200 gift card to Boundless Adventures
